I had a bad experience with the ambulance he is my story:
March 7th 2006 my mum was avery ill lady nearlly dying before christmas.I had phoned my mum from work to see if my 5 year old had gone to school has he had a cold she told me yes but mum was waiting for doctor has mum wasn't very well .My mum never had the doctoe wasn't a mardy person .I then received a phone call from my auntie that told me mum should be in hospital has she was full of water agian, with this I telephoned my doctor to be told mum would have to wait for surgery to finished i explained the problem and was told to ring 999 (big mistake) I did this was to be fair the communtiy paramedic got to mum at 10.17 am .I telephoned from work and the community paramedic answered the telephone and put me on to my auntie who told me they where waiting for the doctor, after i put the telephone down I realised I had cancelled the doctor so telephoned back he put me on to my auntie and i told her i needed to speak to him he came on the telephone I asked what about the water and he told me there was no water i also said what about before christmas he told me in a nasty manner that my mum had only a common chest infection that her own doctor could deal with ,he also said he would wait till the doctor came and my mum would have one on one care he left my mum at 11.15am the doctor didn't arrive till 1.30pm took one look at my mum and said you need to go in hospital you are full of water he telephone 999 thid time knowing waht i know it took 10mins to get mobile and 10 mins to reach mum they got to my mum and unfortunally my mum stopped breathing they did try but could not bring my mum back she was 69.
I did complain to ambulance what a waste of time .I had to get a Solicitor to get answer's and when i received the documents from the ambulance it was very interesting i am not medically trained but anyone could have seen mum was ill and an independent doctor has agreed that on 4 occasions mum should have been admitted to hospital .
I know you might be why did i stay at work well only been back 1 week and 1 day has been in hospital myself. Also the community paramedic said there was no need to come home again he told me a common chest infection.
I have lost my trust in the ambulance the other week i suffered a nut allergy and would not let my husband call 999 in case he came to my house .
I did have the ambulance they where high up and at the time I was working at a motor bike shop he said a lot of us use this shop please don't mess with there bikes wether he meant this in a joke or not I took it personally i have since had to finish has i am suffering depression but can't go anywhere has trust has gone in NHS.
I am now waiting to hear from NHSLA .If the ambulance has been honest about things from the start i would not have gone this far.Money won't bring my mum back i just want justice now .Its me who has to take my six year old to mum's grave .
