Your experiences of the NHS

Channel 4’s Dispatches is making a programme about the National Health Service, focusing on NHS finances and the quality of care people receive. It will ask: how much are the Government’s reforms achieving for patients? And: how well is the £80 billion plus annual budget of the NHS being spent?

We don't think things are all bad in the NHS but we have been told on several occasions of real shortcomings that patients experience, and arguably should no longer have to endure given the levels of funding the NHS now receives. So we want to hear about patients’ recent experiences of the NHS, in order to help our viewers understand what the real issues for patients are. If you’ve recently undergone treatment, you’re receiving treatment now, or you’re on a waiting list, please contact us if you have a story that you think should be told.

We do not have the scope in this particular programme to investigate particular cases of alleged mistreatment or unprofessionalism. Nor are we looking to sensationalise this issue. What we're looking for is more typical cases of levels of care that, often through no fault of individual clinicians, aren't satisfactory for patients.

We will treat any information we receive fairly and sensitively. Due to time constraints, please get in touch with us by this Monday, 29th January.

Many thanks for your help.
