Regarding Dickon Weir Hughes Chief Executive of the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Press Association release which has been picked up by various Daily's.
He is creating a bit of a stir saying that "Struck Off" Nurses are working on Hospital wards as Healthcare Assistants: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8790955/Untrained-healthcare-assistants-leave-patients-unfed-and-in-pain-claims-nursing-watchdog.html
This is a very odd statement to make.
I brought to the attention of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, (2010) that shennanigans involving controlled drugs (morphine) and "unknown staff", had been going on at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust 2006. (The Hospital belatedly disclosed documents, 2009, that show alterations to a controlled drug book and other anomalies).
The NMC have only showed themselves up to me as being an NHS Ring Fence organisation.
I have asked them under FOI's about whether or not some staff treating my Father at the MacMillan Palliative Care Ward, at Sheffields Northern General Hospital, 2006, were NMC registered, but they have failed to answer:

When you look at the figures of NMC strike offs, it is curious why Dickon Weir Hughes should be making such a comment now.
2010 = 779 cases referred by public- outcome NO Registrants struck off.
2010 - 959 cases referred by the Police - outcome 17 Registrants struck off.
2010 - 1469 referrals by employers with 121 strike offs

My Father was Case No. 6 in the Patients Association Report 2009 (he died in 2006) and at that time there was a 'Promised Purge' in the Press of the cruel nurses by Christine Beasley, the Chief Nurse. However the staff that left my Dad lying in his own blood and urine and failed to give him appropriate medication as he laid dying have NEVER been struck off.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council showed themselves up for what they are when they employed Field Fisher WaterhouseLawyers to close my website, www.tomsanguish.com which included some contradictory statements made to me by the NMC.

I now ask who funds the Nursing and Midwifery Council and how much the Nursing and Midwifery Council spend on Lawyers to take down websites made by those who have suffered the wrath of the NHS!
Be under no illusion, all of the bodies that should be regulating the NHS or seeing that crimes involving theft of drugs are dealt with appropriately, are all in it together:

The Police as detailed at the above link, who should investigate theft of morphine, have been mislead or have mislead me.
