In short, I have never ever had an easy time with anyone from the NHS and I've been a nursing student, patient and an employee. To them you are just a number or a problem which needs dealing with. Those in the pensions office at fleetwood are a load of gob*****s as I almost lost £200 off my pension award due to a delay of 2 months on their behalf while transfering pension from another company. When I was a student of mental health nursing I was dead sure the real patients were the ones at manchester uni and not the ones on the acute wards. What really p'd me off about that was I left after the second year of my own accord and got a negative employment reference from my tutor, never told me he was writing it thou, grown man of 50+ and husband of one of his ex students, vomit! Just left my second job with NHS on less honourable grounds but only because I spoke up for myself and the patients using our service, also because I highlighted the fact that one of the nurses had gone on one of her numerous periods of sick leave and not responded to an urgent sample request from the hospital paediatric consultant. Result was that child had to wait a further six months for treatment but they never told the family the truth why that happened. It was policy to empty post draw before going off for long periods to prevent that sort of thing happening but she was not even disciplined. Not the only crime I saw. Also witnessed disgusting treatment of children in clinics who were almost vaccinated as if they were a dart board on a conveyer belt. I saw one child being treated and the nurse stabbed the needle into the child's thigh, obviously the child started bleeding, nob nurse did nothing about that and just yanked the childs clothes back on. Mum had white jeans on so it was quite obvious what had happened and the child was screaming his head off. If you're one to keep the blinkers on and have words put into your mouth then the NHS is for you. All industries have targets to meet but that should not compromise people's treatment and dignity. Irony is that you only get one chance in the private sector and they expect more from you but in the NHS (and if you're a nurse) you can f'up as much as you want and go on the sick for as long as you want and you'll always be protected. Think Harold Shipman and the fact no one challenged him because he was a GP, what kind of ignorant, elitist, self-righteous drones has this country put in positions of power?

Just to let you know...children do cry when they are stabbed with a needle. And needles marks do sometimes bleed. All quite normal.

Ok then if you say so, what you should know is that the mum complained and I was there when the nurse was told about this.
