In Ireland we have the HSE, health service executive. The uk you have the NHS....This covers the health service like nursing homes...

In view of the allegations of abuse in nursing homes we are currently looking to set up discussion groups when our board visit the UK in March 2009 about the senior care in retirement villages standard nursing homes. If you are interested in participating my email is [deleted]

Many Thanks

Hi, Rod --

Thank you for joining the NHS Sucks forum, and thank you for your posting.

I have tried to keep this website free of "commercial" postings, irritating advertising banners, etc., but I'm not really sure I know how to classify your message.

Your website appears to be a commercial directory of nursing homes in Ireland --- a site where folks register to add their listing. When you talk about "our board" I am confused: the WHOIS listing shows that you have registered the domain name in your own name, as a sole trader:
domain: nursinghomes.ie
descr: Roderick MacKenzie
descr: Sole Trader
descr: Registered Business Name
admin-c: AGU633-IEDR
tech-c: HH36-IEDR
renewal: 08-April-2009
Perhaps you can provide further information about "our board." Whose board? What is the purpose of the meeting in March 2009?

In the absence of some further information, I will assume that your post is commercial in nature, designed to add your domain name to other websites to increase your search engine ranking.

I don't like the role of censor, but I seem to spend more and more time each day removing commercial (and often pornorgraphic) postings from this forum and several other non-profit photo galleries that I moderate. If I didn't do this, the sites would be overrun by commercial posters --- the kudzu (http://www.maxshores.com/kudzu/) of the internet.

Look forward to hearing from you.

No reply to my message of 4 January 2009.

I've assumed, therefore, that this is a commercial posting and have deleted the commercial links.

As I mentioned previously, I am uncomfortable with the role of censor, but don't want this forum to become overrun with commercial (essentially "spam") postings.

If I'm mistaken here, just get in touch.
